Out Reach

Reaching out to those in need beyond the walls of St. Andrew's is the work of the Outreach Committee.

The annual projects include providing Thanksgiving meals for area families, adopting several families for Christmas giving, and the Mitten Tree. Donations from the congregation, augmented by budgeted Outreach funds fill these needs.

Special requests for such things as The Katrina Relief collection, a gift of support for the Dexter Senior Center, come in from time to time and the Outreach Committee works to respond by soliciting contributions from the congregation at St. Andrew's.

Looking ahead, the Committee is hoping to provide support and workers for Habitat for Humanity, The Heifer Project, Christian Children's Fund (a special project of the Sunday School) in the coming year.

Christ reminded us that doing things for the least of those who are our brothers, is doing things for Him. In this spirit, the Outreach programs seek to help wherever help is needed.
