Beginning
Wednesday, February 1
and continuing through the entire month of February, St. Andrew’s United
Church of Christ will be engaging in a listening exercise provided
by Leadership Transformations, Inc. This is a web-based survey that will
allow us to collect valuable feedback from both the congregation and the
leadership team regarding individual views on our church health. The
survey will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete.
Instructions on how to access the survey are printed on the insert in
this morning’s bulletin. There are also instructions for those who may
not have internet access. Please give us your honest feedback about our
church. Your responses are crucial to help shape strategic decisions and
ministry effectiveness for the future.

  St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ
Lenten Series
The
season of Lent begins on Wednesday,February 22
and is
a period of
40 days
from
Ash Wednesday to Holy
Saturday
leading up to
Easter.
Lent is a time of
preparation through prayer and
self-denial
for the commemoration during
Holy Week
of the
Death and
Resurrection of Jesus.
It is a
time of reflection on one’s relationship with God.
The Lenten season will begin with a special Ash Wednesday worship
service will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at 7 p.m. with
the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion.
Then, beginning on February 29 and continuing
each Wednesday through March 28, our Lenten Series will be held
from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This year we are
privileged to have Geoff Zahn serve as our leader for this Series.

Christ—the church. One of the ways this commitment is expressed is
through our membership in a local church such as St. Andrew’s UCC. If you
are currently not a member of St. Andrew’s Church and are interested in

Do you want to do something SWEET for someone
else? Here is your chance: Faith in Action needs pancake syrup!
The agency needs syrup to accompany the pancake mix they regularly
distribute and they are asking the community for donations to help them
out of a “sticky” situation. If you are able to donate, please drop the
syrup off at the Dexter Faith in Action office on Baker Road or you can
bring it to the church and leave it outside Pati’s office for delivery. |
