REV. POLAND BIZER:

 1965-1968

The Rev. Bizer, his wife Linda and two children, Beth and Julie, came to Dexter February 18, 1965 from Taylor, Michigan where he had been assistant pastor the previous three and one-half years. He was installed at St. Andrews on March 21, with his father, the Rev. Bizer of St. James Church in Saline, in charge. His brother, The Rev. Armen C. Bizer, associate pastor of the Bethlehem Church in Ann Arbor, preached the sermon.

A Couples Club was organized in September 1965 during his pastorate. He resigned and left St. Andrews January 16, 1968 to go to the Village Church U.C.C. in LaGrange, Illinois.

Born in 1936 in Illinois, he earned his B.A. degree upon graduation from Elmhurst College in 1958. The following year he was married to Linda Huet. He was a graduate from the Eden Seminary in 1961 and that year was ordained from an Evangelical and Reformed Church in Illinois
