 REV. KARL BUFF: 1910-1916 The Rev. Buff, originally from Germany, moved to Dexter January l, 1910 from Elmore, Ohio. During his pastorate at St. Andrews he introduced services in English for the first time and made improvements in the church building, including replacing the plain glass windows with art glass donated in memory of loved ones. Other donors placed a crucifix on the altar. He left Dexter on December l, 1916 to accept a call to St. Paul’s Church in Taylor Center. He and his wife had a son Karl and a daughter, Charlotte. |
