REV. EDWARD DREWS:

 1941-1947

The Rev. Drews came to Dexter from a church at Weldon Springs Missouri and was installed as pastor at St. Andrews on July 27 1941.

He was a graduate of Elmhurst College, Elmhurst,      and studied at Webster Grove, Missouri. He was ordained on June 12 1938 in Danville, Illinois, his home town.

During his pastorate the church became the St. Andrews Evan­gelical and Reformed Church in January 1943, the membership was increased by fifty per cent and a building program was begun. During the summers he taught at camps of the Evangelical and Reformed Church at Camp Mack in Indiana and at Olivet College. After six years he left St. Andrews on December_ 31, 1947 to accept an appointment as pastor of St. Marks Evangelical and Reformed Church in Detroit.
