REV. LOUIS KOElBING:
1897-1902
The Rev. Koelbing served the Chelsea-Dexter parishes for four years before
moving to Dexter in 1901 when St. Andrews purchased an adjoining house and
lot for a parsonage.
The Young Peoples League was first organized in 1901 during his pastorate.
A year later, because of ill health, he went to Endora, Kansas where he
died in February 1911. He had a daughter, Elsie.
In
an early history of St. Andrews it is noted that "he was born in a foreign
mission land."
